Research cutoff: September 13, 2026. Dollar amounts are USD per common share unless stated otherwise. This guide separates declared payments, calculations and unannounced future decisions.
NVIDIA raised its quarterly cash dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 during calendar 2026. The latest announced payment is $0.25 on October 1, 2026, with a September 10 record date. Four $0.25 payments would annualize to $1.00, but that is not the confirmed 2026 total.
NVIDIA’s announced 2026 cash distributions
The change in payment size makes a calendar-year ledger especially important. Below, “announced” means a dated company notice exists. It does not turn an upcoming distribution into cash already received or establish your personal eligibility.
On a small screen, swipe the table horizontally. Keyboard users can focus the table region and use the arrow keys.
| Company notice | Record date | Payment date | Per share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fiscal 2026 year-end release | March 11, 2026 | April 1, 2026 | $0.01 |
| May 20, 2026 release | June 4, 2026 | June 26, 2026 | $0.25 |
| August 26, 2026 release | September 10, 2026 | October 1, 2026 | $0.25 |
At the September 13 research cutoff, October 1 is still a future payment date while its stated record date has passed. Do not interpret an upcoming payment as an invitation to buy now and collect it. Check the specific ex-date and broker entitlement record. No later 2026 payment is assumed in the confirmed table.
A 25-fold dividend is not a 25-fold investment return
The increase is $0.24 per share per quarter. Dividing $0.25 by $0.01 gives 25 times the old payment; dividing the $0.24 increase by $0.01 gives a 2,400% increase. These describe the dividend amount, not the stock’s return. The original base was only one cent, so a spectacular percentage does not establish a high dividend yield.
For 100 eligible shares, a distribution at the new rate is $25 gross, versus $1 at the old rate. Four new-rate payments would be $100. By contrast, the three distributions listed above total $0.51 per share, including October’s announced but not yet payable distribution. Only $0.26 per share belongs to the two listed payment dates already past at the cutoff. Do not label $0.51 as cash already received or $1.00 as the full-year actual.
Why “fiscal 2027” can describe a dividend paid in 2026
NVIDIA’s second-quarter fiscal 2027 announcement covers a quarter ended July 26, 2026. Its fiscal-year label does not mean the October 1 distribution will be paid in calendar 2027. To build a household cash budget, classify each distribution by its actual payment date. To analyze financial statements, use the company’s fiscal reporting periods. Keep both labels when moving between the two.
A usable NVDA dividend-yield calculation
At an unchanged quarterly rate, the indicated annual dividend is $1.00 per share. Divide that by the current share price. At an illustrative $200 price, indicated yield would be 0.50%; at $250 it would be 0.40%. Those prices are arithmetic examples, not current quotations, forecasts or suggested entry prices. Update the denominator yourself and retain its timestamp.
The cash distribution and the share price can move in different directions. A larger payment does not prevent a valuation decline. If your investment objective depends on regular income, assess how much actual cash the position contributes rather than deciding from the growth percentage alone.
What matters for future dividend capacity
The company’s second-quarter fiscal 2027 filing says future cash dividends remain subject to its board’s determination. Our review framework is therefore to test operating cash generation, inventory and customer collections, reinvestment requirements and other capital commitments before projecting another increase. A board’s past decision is evidence of policy at that time, not a binding future growth formula.
- Track cash generated over a full reporting cycle, not just headline AI revenue.
- Compare the new recurring cash-distribution burden with funds available after business investment.
- Keep repurchases separate from cash dividends; a buyback is not a cash payment to every remaining shareholder.
- Check new declarations directly and record any change in rate before refreshing annualized income.
Frequently asked questions
What is NVIDIA’s latest declared quarterly dividend?
$0.25 per share, as verified in the August 26, 2026 announcement.
Is the October 1, 2026 payment guaranteed for a new buyer?
No. Payment date and entitlement are different. The announced record date is September 10; verify the official ex-date and your broker’s eligible holding.
Has NVIDIA announced a $1.00 dividend for calendar 2027?
This guide does not identify such an annual declaration. $1.00 is four times the currently verified quarterly rate and remains a calculation, not a board-approved 2027 total.
