Apple Dividend 2026: Dates, Payments and Income

Published on

Research cutoff: September 13, 2026. Dollar amounts are USD per common share unless stated otherwise. This guide separates declared payments, calculations and unannounced future decisions.

Apple’s latest declared quarterly dividend is $0.27 per share. Its first three listed 2026 payments total $0.80 per share. A $1.08 annualized run rate is not the same as Apple’s confirmed calendar-year 2026 dividend.

Apple dividend dates and amounts for 2026

Apple’s official dividend history lists the following regular cash distributions. These are payment dates in calendar 2026, not fiscal-quarter labels. No final 2026 distribution is included unless the board has declared it.

On a small screen, swipe the table horizontally. Keyboard users can focus the table region and use the arrow keys.

AAPL calendar-year 2026 dividend record at the research cutoff
Declaration Record date Payment date Per share
January 29, 2026 February 9, 2026 February 12, 2026 $0.26
April 30, 2026 May 11, 2026 May 14, 2026 $0.27
July 30, 2026 August 10, 2026 August 13, 2026 $0.27

The table is a company payment record, not confirmation that every investor received those amounts. Your qualifying share count can differ between distributions. Purchases made later in the year do not create a right to earlier payments.

How much does 100 shares of Apple pay?

For 100 shares that qualified for all three listed distributions, the calculation is 100 × ($0.26 + $0.27 + $0.27) = $80 gross. At the latest declared rate, one eligible quarterly distribution would be 100 × $0.27 = $27. These figures answer different questions and should not be mixed in an income plan.

Annualizing the latest rate gives $0.27 × 4 = $1.08 per share, or $108 for 100 shares. That assumes four equal distributions at the new rate. It is not the amount already received in 2026. If a fourth calendar-2026 payment were later declared at $0.27, the year’s total would instead be $1.07 per share because February was $0.26. That final payment remains a conditional calculation here, not an announcement.

What the 2026 increase actually means

The move from $0.26 to $0.27 adds one cent per share each quarter. Calculated against the previous rate, that is approximately 3.85%. For 100 shares, the difference is $1 for each eligible payment. Looking at both the percentage and the cash change prevents a modest income increase from sounding larger than it is.

The July 30 earnings release confirms the latest declaration. It also reports June-quarter diluted EPS of $2.02, including a favorable $0.11 tariff-refund impact. When judging distribution capacity, distinguish recurring earnings from a one-period benefit. One quarter alone is not an annual dividend-safety test.

Calculate AAPL dividend yield without a stale share price

Use an up-to-date share price in the denominator: indicated annual yield = $1.08 ÷ share price × 100. At a purely illustrative $200 share price, that is 0.54%. At an illustrative $250, it is 0.432%. Neither price is a live quote or price target. The examples show how a rising share price can lower the indicated yield even when the dividend rate is unchanged.

For portfolio tracking, keep yield on your original cost separate from yield at today’s price. The first describes income relative to what you paid; the second helps compare current alternatives. Neither measures the full gain or loss on your investment.

What to verify before relying on the next payment

  • Find a new board declaration on Apple’s investor-relations site. Do not extrapolate a payment date from last year’s weekday.
  • Record the amount, currency, record date, payment date and separately confirmed ex-dividend date.
  • Check your eligible share quantity, including purchases, sales and fractional holdings.
  • Record the actual cash credited by your broker separately from the company’s gross announced amount.

An ex-dividend date is not the payment date. Investor.gov explains eligibility: buying on or after the ex-date does not qualify for that distribution. Use the official notice and your broker’s corporate-action record rather than guessing from the record date.

Frequently asked questions

Is Apple’s 2026 annual dividend $1.08?

That is the annualized value of four $0.27 payments, not a confirmed calendar-2026 total. The first three listed 2026 payments sum to $0.80.

Has Apple announced its final 2026 payment?

This guide includes declarations verified through September 13, 2026. A further payment is not counted as confirmed without a new board notice.

Does the dividend make AAPL a safe investment?

No. Income can be outweighed by a price decline. Evaluate the business, valuation, concentration and cash needs separately from the dividend calendar.
